Music of a Eldery body is an experience happened when Ygg traveled across northern Italy, just before the old tree sonification in August 2021. The old lady was so curious about life! She had had many experiences, driven by intellectual inspiration, a stimulating job traveling a lot around the world. Moreover, she developed a strong connection with nature.
When she knew about Ygg, the lady enthusiastically wanted to discover her personal music, and she got in connection with the cyber-creature. The Voice of Ygg bio-sonified her through a Midi Sprout implementation.
Music of a Elderly body. How to sonify it?
The sonification just consists into connect two electrodes on the skin and registering the micro-currents. Overcome the initial fear of electrical currents hurt (that’s impossible because Ygg doesn’t produce electrical current), the process was an amazing experience!
About her sound profile, she observed that is in keeping with her mood swings, though “homogenized”. On the other hand, the high and low tones were muted. When low sound occurred we (me Ygg and the lady) had a discussion about well-being, age, aches, and pains…. but the 50-year-old apple tree sonification proved we were wrong!
